On the 23rd April nine members of the Kind Group embarked on a 12 hour, 27-mile long trek to conquer the three peaks challenge. The endeavour was tackled in order to raise money for Mind – The Mental Health Charity. The day saw the team scale Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough with a combined ascent of a whopping 1,585 metres! Kind’s Mat Kind and Sunny Panwar both took part and are now recovering from aching muscles.
“I didn’t realise how challenging the walk would be; today I’m aching all over! I’m usually in the gym every morning, but I won’t be heading back for a couple of days at this pace. It was absolutely gruelling but completely worth the hardship, Mind is an amazing charity and I can’t thank everyone enough for donating to such a brilliant cause. I also want to thank everyone from the Kind Group that participated in the walk.”

The gang had an initial target of £300. This was promptly demolished as the team managed to raise over £700 of donations via the Just Giving website. In total, there were 47 incredibly generous donators that helped us reach and then surpass the initial goal. The final total breached the £1,000 mark which is absolutely amazing and we can’t thank our contributors enough! No doubt the guys on the Kind Consultancy team will be dreaming up another challenging event for us to participate in soon. Hopefully, our muscles will have healed by then!
